OUR STORY

Bureau Safavid is an art and styling consultancy founded in Dubai in 2023 by Katia de Rham, creating bespoke collections for luxury hospitality and private residences.

A graduate of the Sorbonne with a Master’s degree in Modern and Contemporary Art History from Christie’s Education, Katia began her career at Christie’s before building her experience across the cultural and commercial art worlds in Europe and the Middle East. Her work has spanned cultural institutions, galleries, art fairs and private collections, giving her a deep understanding of both art and the environments in which it is experienced.

Before founding Bureau Safavid, Katia was Creative Director at Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), where she led the creative direction of art and styling for luxury hospitality projects. Working at the intersection of art, interiors and design became the foundation for the approach she later brought to Bureau Safavid.

The studio is shaped by hands-on relationships with artists and makers and a commitment to authenticity, craftsmanship and cultural dialogue. Its team brings together backgrounds in art and architecture, united by a belief that a space should say something.
